ALENDADE

Brand Identity

Alendade is a family-owned herdade in Alentejo, shaped by land, time, and continuity. The name — created for the project — draws from Alentejo itself, carrying a sense of place, lineage, and belonging.

Rooted in cork production and sheep farming, Alendade is not driven by scale or spectacle, but by care. The rhythms of the seasons, the patience of the land, and the quiet pride of working it well guide everything they do.

THE BRIEF

The goal was to create an identity that could hold tradition without feeling frozen in time. Something that respected the weight of history while leaving space for the present — and for what comes next. The brand needed to speak to provenance and craft, without leaning into rustic clichés or romantic excess.

Above all, it had to feel real. A visual language that reflects a way of life shaped by work, patience, and deep connection to place.

The identity was built from the ground up, taking cues from the textures, symbols, and pace of Alentejo itself. The landscape became a reference point — open fields, cork bark, soil, and sky — guiding both tone and form.

Illustration plays a central role, introducing a quiet narrative layer that feels handmade rather than decorative. Each element was designed to feel purposeful, as if it had always belonged there. The palette remains restrained, allowing natural materials and imagery to lead.

At the center of the system sits a mark that balances structure with softness, reflecting both stewardship and care. A tower built by the grandfather's owner in the middle of the property crowns the logo bridging past and future anchoring the present.

The logotype was custom designed to feel timeless and grounded, avoiding trends while remaining approachable. Every detail was considered for longevity, ensuring the brand can grow without losing its sense of self.
