For those that daringly walk the unbeaten path and believe in magic.
I imagined a network of proud peculiar humans, with unique stories and wild dreams connecting with one another through the love of their craft and the art of hand written letters.

"Feeling home" doesn't always come easy, especially in the Holiday Season. As such, I envisioned this time feeling a bit warmer by waiting to receive that letter from another peculiar human that may be feeling just like you. Sharing stories and magic while the snow falls outsied is the best recipe I know to invite the light in.
TELLING STORIES
I chose a moth as a symbol of a nocturnal and fairly quirky creature that always finds a way to the light. They are a powerful symbol of transcendence and rebirth, what I hope this year will bring. I chose to pare it with the new moon and sun, night stars and greenery they remain the same no matter where we are. They guide us and connect us from the ground up.
As far a style I wanted to stay true to the old-timey essence of sending letters. The goal was to a create a highly detailed stamp that you'd like to treasure and carry as a reminder that you can always find "home" within you, that being peculiar is always something to rejoice in and that you don't ever need to feel lonely.
