IDENTITY DESIGN

ABOUT

Hannah is a travel blogger & photographer with a special love for cottages and her dog Baxter.

WHY

You have a very defined aesthetic that I personally feel it wasn't embraced by your actual identity design, that while beautiful doesn't' seem 100% coherent with the rest of your brand! I've always been immensely inspired by your content and I thought it was time to put all that inspiration to good use and share it with you.

THE CONCEPT

To create the logo I knew from the very beginning it should come from one of your postcards. You have amazing visuals that represent the heart and soul of your business and because of it I strongly felt the logo needed to stem from one of them. Here is the rationale and thought process behind the concept:

  • Hannah: you are beautiful and so full of life and yet you show up a little too little in your photographs (in my humble opinion)! I thought that a nice way to embrace the person behind the name would be to showcase your person in the logo while maintaining an intimate feel.

  • Style:  your account is all about seeing the beauty in the passing of time, in embracing the patina that only old places full of magic have. I thought it would be fit to create a log in a style that resembled old techniques like wood engravings.

  • Photograph: I chose this particular image because I think the aesthetic of it ties up nicely with your English nature and simultaneously it shows a confident and traveled woman ready for her new adventure (at least that's how I visualize it).

APPLICATIONS

Photography, graphic elements and patterns are a unique opportunity to channel a brand's essence into something that will take the identity to the next level. Through these applications, you can envision how the color, type, photography and logo all come together as a cohesive brand. These images are only mockups to help you imagine the brand in context. The patterns allow for exciting textures to create a cohesive look  across printed pieces such as packaging, or digital items such as the website and email newsletters. The patterns can be used as an extra detail to make customers smile and show your attention to detail. Overall, the brand identity creates a unique and wanderous aesthetic, that portrays you as an expert in your maintaining your magic and authenticity.

This is it! I hope you liked it.

If you did, there are so many more things I'd love to create with you, like Instagram highlights images and branded icons!

Please reply to my email as I'd love to know your thoughts and to get to know you a bit better. In the mean time thank you for your time and for your light.
